Qatar recruited over 20,000 volunteers for the first FIFA World Cup™ in the Middle East and the Arab world. These volunteers played an essential role in tournament operations, supporting 45 functional areas and over 30 roles.
The Supreme Committee of Legacy & Delivery launched the ‘Host a Volunteer’ campaign, aiming to reduce the burden on accommodation capacities and provide volunteers with the opportunity to experience Qatari culture.
